Recap: 2018 Kaw Valley Celtic Festival

This past Saturday, despite the chilly wind, a total of about 125 people gathered at Riverside Park to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! Nearly half of them came early to share in the community potluck – bringing cabbage, potatoes a myriad of ways, grilled carrots, soda and beer breads, as well as a sampling of desserts.  While a local Irish step dance troupe prepared to delight the crowd, Patrick Werick and Benedict Lillis entertained everyone with some traditional American tunes using the quintessentially classic Celtic instruments: bagpipes and drum.
